Jim Davis Garfield Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-21-80 (United Feature Syndicate, 1980). Garfield -- unleashed. Well, not quite unleashed, but certainly not leash-broken. Jon Arbuckle might as well try to shoe a horsefly or arm-wrestle an octopus. A brilliant exercise in Absurdist Deadpan Slapstick, from a master of the idiom. Ink over blue pencil on Bristol board.
