Bernie Wrightson signed original art featuring "Cain" in "The Secret of the Egyptian Cat" from House of Mystery #186. (1970) Accomplished in pencil, ink, white-out, and zipatone on 22.25 x 15.75 in. artist leaf tipped to backing board. A work created for DC's House of Mystery and one of the few 2-page spreads that Wrightson drew. From issue #186 pages 2 and 3. A beautifully constructed page that shows DC horror host Cain looking on as an Egyptian priestess morphs from a cat back into her human form amidst a cemetery with the House of Mystery in the background. Signed "Wrightson" in white in the upper left. Title is hand-lettered across the bottom border. Some notation to upper border. Minor soiling to the thin blank borders. In fine condition.Auction Info
