Description

Fantasia Window Card Theatrical Poster Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1940/1969). Here's a rarely-seen jumbo window card (21" x 28") from Disney's animated masterpiece, Fantasia. The film was developed from a short-subject cartoon based on the Paul Dukas musical piece, "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Mickey Mouse starred in the eight-minute short orchestrated by Leopold Stokowski. Disney and Stokowski both liked the finished product so well that they decided to expand the production from a short subject into a full two-hour feature. This jumbo window card, marked for Mt. Union Theater in Alliance, Ohio, features characters from several of the classical selections, including "Nutcracker Suite," "Pastoral Symphony" and "Dance of the Hours." Also hard to find is the second item in this lot, a "Psychedelic" window card, from the 1969 reissue of the film that introduced a new generation to this wonderful Disney classic. Overall condition is Very Good with minor handling and edge wear.
