Description
The Smurfs Commercial Bumper Production Cel with Key Master Background (Hanna-Barbera, 1984). An exceptional Smurfs bumper card/cel featuring Papa Smurf, Jokie, Vanity, Lazy, Greedy Smurf, Gargamel, and Azrael. In broadcasting, a commercial bumper, or break-bumper, often shortened to bump, is a brief announcement, usually two to fifteen seconds in length that can contain a voice over, placed between a pause in the program and its commercial break, and vice versa. The host, the program announcer, or a continuity announcer states the title of the presentation, the name of the program, and the broadcast or cable network, though not necessarily in that order. The bumper phrase that most people are familiar with says, "We'll be right back after these messages" or "And now, a word from our sponsor." The bumper card in this lot consists of a 12 field hand-painted cel paired with the Key Master background. The background was created using cut paper. Noted in the bottom right border is, "NBC Bumper". Bumper cards are very rare and are highly sought after by collectors of animation art. Condition is very Good.Auction Info
