Disneyland - 1950s Disneyland Ephemera Group of 7 (Walt Disney, c. 1950s). From the very early days of Walt Disney's revolutionary Anaheim theme park, here is a fantastic group of seven pieces of rare ephemera. All seven items come from the first five years of the park's operation. First, we have a 1st Anniversary Souvenir Pictorial. This wonderful piece was published in 1956, and it contains information and images regarding many facets of the park's first year. The front and back covers are in color, with the fourteen inside pages being mostly in black and white, with a few pages boasting splashes of vibrant color. The pictorial measures about 11" x 14.5" closed, and it is in Fair to Good condition, with handling and edge wear, including toning, jagged edges, some minor staining, some folds and small tears, and fragile pages. Next, we have three pieces that were used as marketing material for the park in 1956. The first is entitled "Some Facts about Disneyland, your Orange County Neighbor," and it measures about 4" x 7.5". It is in Fair to Good condition, with handling and edge wear, including some jagged edges and fragile paper. Next, we have a flyer advertising the new Rainbow Caverns Mine Ride, Mineral Hall, and Jr. Autopia. This two-sided flyer measures about 4.25" x 10.5". Next, we have a brochure entitled "Kodak Camera Tour of Disneyland." This fold-out brochure features a fascinating guide from Kodak as to what camera settings should be in various locations around the park in order to capture video or photographs. This colorful brochure measures about 10.75" x 16.5" open all the way.3.75" x 8.25" closed. These brochures are in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear from age. Next, we have a 1956 Disneyland stamp book, complete with all 50 stamps affixed inside the book. The stamp book measures 8.25" x 10.75" and is in Good condition, with some handling and edge wear. Next, we have a fold-out brochure from about 1958 that advertises ticket book prices and events for Disneyland. The brochure measures about 8.5" x 10" open and is in Good condition, with handling and edge wear, including a few small tears and some writing throughout. Finally, we have a colorful publication advertising Disneyland in 1959. This approximately 22-page piece contains dozens of colorful photographs and pieces of concept art. It is in Fair to Good condition, with handling and edge wear, including a horizontal fold, toning, and some minor tears. It measures about 11.25" x 13".From the Rummell Collection.
