Description

Hiroshima Album Cover Concept Art by Harrison Ellenshaw Group of 3 (c. 1990s). Hiroshima is an American band formed in 1974. The band incorporates Japanese instruments in its music. In the late 1990s/early 2000s the band asked noted Hollywood studio matte painter and special effects artist Harrison Ellenshaw to submit concepts for a new album. Ellenshaw is most known for his work on Star Wars (1977), The Empire Strikes Back (1980), and TRON (1982). Included in this terrific lot is a used concert ticket and backstage pass plus a copy of Performing Arts magazine dated March 1989 with an article on the band, three original 12" x 12" concept art pieces and a hand-painted mat. The artwork was rendered using gouache on board. The artwork and the mat are all hand-signed by the artist. Condition is Very Good.
