Description
Who Framed Roger Rabbit Storyboard Original Art (Amblin/Walt Disney, c. 1988). "That's enough!" Eddie Valiant pulls Roger Rabbit into an extreme closeup in this spectacular original storyboard. This early drawing of Eddie depicts the character with more chiseled features than actor Bob Hoskins. This was due to the character's description in the book Who Censored Roger Rabbit, but it was also because the director Robert Zemeckis and producer Steven Spielberg initially considered Harrison Ford for the part. This rare piece is rendered in graphite by the great storyboard artist David Russell, and it measures 10" x 5.25" on 8.25" x 11" vellum tracing paper. Russell's knowledge of dramatization, lighting and camera are all evident in this outstanding image, and his contribution to the film directorial choices can't be understated. The drawing shows minor handling and edge wear with some creasing in the lower corners and left side. The piece numbered 55, contains production and dialogue notes, and the condition is Very Good.
