Description

Walt Disney's Treasury: 21 Best-Loved Stories Pigs is Pigs Pages 122, 123, and 125 Illustrations Original Art Group of 8 (Walt Disney, 1953). This 1954 Oscar-nominated animated short concerns a railway agent and a pair of guinea pigs to be shipped, but when the owner disputes the charges, the shipment is put on hold, and the pigs are left to propagate - repeatedly! The story in the book is told in verse, with thirteen illustrations, eight of them in full color. Here's the original art for all eight; although unsigned, we believe these may be the work of Disney Legend Al Dempster (1911 - 2001). These are fun illustrations of a bygone area, and should be of interest to those Disney fans who are also train enthusiasts. The illustrations are painted in gouache on lightweight boards, with sizes ranging from 4" x 3.5" to 8" x 4.5". All eight have old glue residue on the backside. Color prints of the book's front cover and table of contents pages are included for reference. Art condition is Very Good, with minor handling and edge wear.
