The New Adventures of Batman Production Cel and Key Master Background with Layouts Group of 4 (Filmation, 1977). In The New Adventures of Batman, the "Dynamic Duo" fights crime in Gotham City, encountering the classic Batman rogues gallery as well as some original villains. From the 1977 animated television series we present a superb Key Master setup (with a whole bunch of Jokers) and three layout drawings for the scene. This four-layer Key Master consists of hand-inked and hand-painted 12 field production cels paired with the matching hand-painted 12 field Key Master background. Included are the layouts for the scene. The drawings were rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field animation paper. In visual arts a background layout is the line drawing of the background for a scene. Layouts are usually drawn from storyboards which define the action and perspective in the scene. Background layout artists take them to the next level by defining the detail and perspective. Layout drawings are then given to the background painters to color and complete the visual style. A great opportunity to acquire a Batman Key Master setup from the Filmation series. Mild production handling with edge wear. The third drawing has a tear in the top near the right peg hole.
