Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Sally's Sewing Tent Concept Art (Touchstone/Disney, 1993). This original concept drawing of Sally's sewing tent is by the assistant art director on The Nightmare Before Christmas, Kelly Asbury. It is beautifully rendered in mixed media and measures 12" x 10" on 13.5" x 12" paper. The art is signed and dated '93 by the artist in the lower right. This one-of-a-kind drawing appears on page 59 of the book Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Film - The Art - The Vision by Frank Thompson. Fans of this beloved stop-motion feature film know just how difficult it is to find original artwork from it and signed concept drawings are almost unheard of. It comes complete with a note of provenance signed by the artist. The piece shows minor handling, pinholes and a few small smudges and smears; otherwise condition is Very Good.Auction Info
