Description
Robin Hood Little Golden Book Illustration Group of 11 (Walt Disney/Whitman, 1973). Presented is a spectacular and impressive collection of a whopping 11 illustration boards containing original artwork created for the Little Golden Book publication of Robin Hood. The book was released around the same time of the film's release in 1973, making this collection an incredibly rare set of early Disney Robin Hood artwork, including the cover illustration! Each piece is rendered masterfully in gouache by the artists of the Walt Disney Studio on 15" x 10" illustration board, and one measures 7.25" x 10". The cover illustration is on 10.25" x 11.5" board. Each piece has a protective sheet of acetate taped near the edges, and the illustrations show minor handling and edge wear. An exciting find, a significant percentage of the book is represented here in its original form! A copy of the book is included in this lot. The condition of the artwork is Very Good.Auction Info
