Mickey Mouse Consumer Products Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1935). Although Minnie does not appear in Mickey's Circus, the artwork was definitely inspired by the Walt Disney short. Using the original artwork inspired by Mickey's Circus, a major rug company in Yonkers, NY made Disney themed rugs. The art is from a Kay Kamen/Disney project. Herman "Kay" Kamen (1892 - 1949) was a merchandising executive, noted primarily for his work with the Walt Disney Company. Offered in this lot is a rare piece of Disney Consumer Products artwork used for the venture. The art was rendered in gouache on heavy 15" x 10" illustration board. The image measures 11.75" x 6.75". Condition is Very Good.
