Description
How to Have an Accident at Work Donald Duck Production Cel and Key Master Background (Walt Disney, 1959). "Now he's playing with fire!" says our host, J.J. Fate. This short was the follow-up to Donald Duck's How to Have an Accident at Home. In this cartoon, we see that Donald Duck is safety-minded at home, but he's not so careful while at work. This cartoon was directed by Charles Nichols and released on 9/2/55. This is an outstanding hand-inked, hand-painted 16 field production cel of Donald Duck with his lit cigar on the ladder, putting up the No Smoking sign. In the cartoon, there is a bunch of open paint cans directly below Donald. You can imagine what happens next! The very cool production cel of Donald Duck is 6" with smoke effect off the cigar. The cel is on its Key Master hand-painted production background of the workplace No Smoking sign. This setup can be seen around the 3:09 mark. Key Master setups from Disney shorts of this era is very rare. The setup is in a frame of 24" x 20" with a mat opening of 15" x 11". Frame is sold as-is. Artwork condition is Very Good.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five. See also: Fab Five, Disney's Fab Five Artist.
