Description
Whilce Portacio and Art Thibert X-Factor #65 Apocalypse Splash Page 6 Original Art (Marvel, 1991). Forget the Four Horsemen, Apocalypse has assembled a new team of villains: Tusk, Gauntlet, Foxbat, Psynapse, Hard-Drive, and Barrage -- the Dark Riders! While each member was introduced individually in the two preceding story pages, this dynamic splash marks the first full appearance of the entire team, shown together alongside their ancient overlord. Here, the Dark Riders are seen spying on X-Factor's training session, analyzing their performance to identify weaknesses ahead of their first encounter. Rendered in ink over graphite on Marvel Comics Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15.5". All of the word balloons are missing, leaving behind fairly extensive residue stains and some ink loss. Also features holes punched in the center margins, a taped page number paste-up, whiteout, blue pencil editorial marks, corner creasing, and general edgewear.
