Captain America Comics #34 (Timely, 1944) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Cream to off-white pages. A very nice copy of the issue. In fact, we have only seen one higher-graded blue label copy in the past 20 years! The issue contains a Human Torch story, and a centerfold poster of Captain America. Robert Crumb must have been influenced by this issue in his youth, as the wacky Nazi bondage cover, by Syd Shores, looks like it came from one of Crumb's early Underground comic ventures. Vince Alascia, Al Bellman, and Ken Bald art. Overstreet 2021 FN 6.0 value = $1,269; VF 8.0 value = $3,067.
