Description
Bernie Wrightson Infinity #3 Vol. 2 "On the River Styx" Illustration Original Art (Adam Malin & Gary Berman, 1971). In Greek mythology, Charon ferries the souls of the dead across the river Styx. Wrightson captures that eerie voyage with haunting precision in this 1969 illustration, first published in Volume Two of the double-sized Infinity #3. It also appeared in Comic Buyer's Guide ads promoting the fanzine and was later released as a print. Ink over graphite on art paper with an approximate image area of 10.25" x 15.5", matted and Plexiglas-front framed to 21" x 25.25". Light toning, minor edge tears, minor smudging, edge/corner creasing, and handling wear. Signed and dated in the lower right image area.
