Description

Wally Wood Cannon #C119 Comic Strip Original Art (Wood and Richter, 1973). Wally Wood proved himself one of the most talented and hard-working artists of the Silver Age. From 1970-74, Wood wrote and drew Cannon, an adventure strip designed for a newspaper distributed exclusively to military bases. Cannon is a dehumanized killer "wet-works" agent for the US government, and most of his adventures were spiced with beautiful, busty women -- usually nude, for little reason at all. This adventure was created in ink and Zipatone over blue pencil, on two separate sheets of Bristol board, with a combined image area of 16.75" x 20.75". The logo is a printed paste-up, and the car in Panels 1-2 are both stat paste-ups. Slight toning, pinholes, spot staining, minor corner creasing, editorial marks/notes, and light handling wear. In Excellent condition.
