Mike Ploog Planet of the Apes Magazine #2 Story Page 28 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). Jumping on the simian bandwagon following the success of the various Planet of the Apes films, Marvel launched their black-and-white Apes magazine with both comic book adaptations of the films and original stories featuring a new cast of characters, with none other than the legendary Mike Ploog handling art in fantastic ink and gray tones. Ink and ink wash over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 11.5" x 16.5". Lightly toned, marginal production notes and tape, soft corner and edge wear.
