Description

Lynn Varley Batman: The Dark Knight #3 Story Page 25 Production Color Original Art (DC, 1986). Batman, Robin (Carrie Kelly), the Joker (riding on the flying doll/bomb), and Superman (lifting a tank) all appear on this page. Lynn Varley's color work was an integral part of the appeal for this series that put the "Dark" back in "Darknight Detective". This miniseries is on almost anyone's list of most important series from the 1980s. This page was created by printing the Frank Miller / Klaus Janson linework in blue on Bristol board where Varley hand-colored it. This page was then dressed with an acetate overlay of the linework. The image area measures 9.5" x 12.5". In Excellent condition. NOTE: Only the color work is original art.
