Alex Schomburg Thrilling Wonder Stories Summer 1954 "End As A Robot" Story Illustration Original Art (Standard, 1954). Known primarily for his Golden Age comics work, including countless incredible war covers, the masterful Alex Schomburg worked in sci-fi pulps for decades before and after his comics career. In this interior story illustration, two hard-boiled humans investigate the strange death of a robot. Ink over graphite on thick illustration board with an image area of 10" x 11". Trimming, adhesive, and whiteout bordering the two human figures, discolored production tape, production notes/marks, toning, and handling wear.
