Description
Kevin Nowlan Death Gallery Pin-Up Original Art with Preliminary and Color Guide (Vertigo, 1994). Nowlan captures the essence of Death's beauty and serenity in this scene. First appearing in Neil Gaiman's Sandman #8, Death of the Endless has continually ranked high among the most appreciated and beloved comic characters of all time. She received her own series due to her popularity in Sandman, and made her live-action debut to much acclaim in the Netflix series, also developed by Gaiman. This portrait was produced for a special issue highlighting her and will make an impeccable addition to any comic art collection. The larger art is rendered in ink over graphite on board and has an image area of 10" x 15". There is some light toning, edge and handling wear. Signed. The prelim is in graphite and measures 2.5" x 5", unsigned, and the color guide is watercolor over printed lines with call-out notations on onionskin, is signed, and measures 6" x 9.25".
