Description

Detective Comics #28 (DC, 1939) CBCS Restored FN+ 6.5 (Slight/ Mod Pro) Off-white to white pages. This highly sought-after book is desirable in any grade and relatively hard to find! Featuring the second appearance of Batman, it also marks the last appearance of Fu Manchu in the title, with art by Bob Kane and Joe Shuster. The cover by Fred Guardineer is striking on this restored copy -- with bright, vibrant colors and a nicely centered title logo. Bid now, Bat-fans! This issue is even more difficult to find than the famous Detective Comics #27! In fact, this is the first copy we've seen in over two years -- who knows when it will appear again! CBCS notes, "Professional Restoration Includes: Small amount of color touch on cover, piece added to 1st page, cover cleaned, staples replaced." Currently #32 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. Overstreet 2023 FN 6.0 value = $27,900; VF 8.0 value = $51,000.
