Description
Illinois McDonaldland Paris-Themed Mural Drawing Original Art by Wes Cook (McDonald's/Setmakers, 1979). Ronald McDonald and his Gobblin friends cycle along the banks of the river Seine while the Eiffel Tower stands majestically in the distance. This incredible rendering of a globe-trotting clown and his googly-eyed entourage is a custom mural designed by the hand of legendary theme park designer and Setmakers' Creative Director, Wes Cook. This remarkably detailed, custom-designed graphite drawing was commissioned through Setmakers for a McDonald's restaurant in Paris -- Paris, Illinois, that is! It measures approximately 8.5" x 17", is applied to a sheet of 18" x 24" Setmakers-branded vellum, and is signed by the artist. Handwritten beneath the image is "Paris Mural" and the full scale measurements of 5' x 10'. Indicated in the Setmakers' design slug is a completion date of 11/21/77. The paper shows minor handling and edge wear; otherwise, condition is Fine.Auction Info
