With its dramatic use of color, muscular figure work, and otherworldly atmosphere, Frank Frazetta's influence on this stunning image of the Daughter of Drakulon is unmistakable. The sight of Vampi framed against a large, vibrant moon instantly recalls the iconic cover of Vampirella #1 (with Frazetta's original painting offered in the Platinum Session of this very sale), while the lizard-like creature looming behind her evokes the viciously detailed beasts Frazetta so often brought to life. Rendered in mixed media on illustration board with an edge-to-edge image area of 9" x 12". Light scuffing at top right, with two color chips. Light corner and edge wear.
