Description

Nick Cardy Aquaman #33 Story Page 23 Original Art (DC Comics, 1967). The page is noteworthy for the debut of Aquagirl, a.k.a. Tula. Cardy achieves a striking level of violent intensity in this sequence, portraying Aqualad as an avenging force. He thinks Aquaman slain; however, Aquaman also shows up alive and well. As a self-inker, Cardy exhibits a brisk touch reminiscent of Alex Toth. This dynamic slab of Bristol board has an image area of 10" x 15". Moderately toned, with a missing patch of lettering (upper left), and in Very Good condition.
