John Byrne and Dan Green Iron Fist #14 Story Page 7 First Sabretooth Appearance Original Art (Marvel, 1977). The first page Sabretooth ever appeared on! A John Byrne and Chris Claremont collaboration that pre-dated Byrne's first issue of X-Men. While the character appeared fairly sparingly until the mid-80s, he became such a fan-favorite villain that the character appeared in the first X-Men movie. He later also appeared in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine film. As recent auction results have shown, the very first glimpse of a character is always a desirable piece, and we expect this art to be a much fought-over item at the live session. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image size of 10" x 15". Slight toning, tape residue staining on the top and bottom edges, paste-ups in the bottom margin, pinholes in the top corners, marginal notes, blue pencil editorial marks with whiteout corrections, and light handling wear.
