Description
Lou Fine (as Jack Cortez) Wags #88 (Jumbo Comics #7) The Count of Monte Cristo Title Page Original Art (Editors Press Service, 1938). Originally published in the 11-4-38 edition of Wags, this story was also reprinted by Fiction House in Jumbo Comics #7 in 1939. The twice-up scale page was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 15.5" x 22.5" (including the paste-up stat header/logo). Part of the syndicate strip has ripped off in the last panel. There are whiteout corrections on the toned art page. There is a 2" crease in the lower section, in the center panel, that has cracked the board. In Good condition. From the Falvey Classics Illustrated Collection.More information about Lou Fine.
