The Sub-Mariner #1 (Marvel, 1968) CGC NM/MT 9.8 White pages. NM/MT 9.8 copies of issue #1 have tripled in price over the last several years thanks to the Sub-Mariner's big screen debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever! Namor, who first appeared in 1939, finally got his own solo comic series in 1968, and his origin was retold in a story that is continued from Iron Man and Sub-Mariner #1. John Buscema did the stoic cover and interior art for the book. Overstreet 2022 NM- 9.2 value = $2,000. CGC census 3/23: 78 in 9.8, none higher.CGC Grader Notes:
