Frank Robbins Johnny Hazard Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-14-47 (King Features Syndicate, 1947). Robbins was only three years into Johnny Hazard (his original creation) at this time, and already had established the novelistic story-arc method that would characterize the feature for an additional 30 years. Johnny is the key suspect in an aerial shooting, but has an idea of how to clear his name in this ink over graphite on Bristol board Sunday. The image area measures approximately 15" x 23", with moderate toning, edge and handling wear, and a stripped-in text correction in Panel 4. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
