Description

George Papp Superboy #85 Story Page 3 Original Art (DC, 1960). Papp anchored the Superboy series, just as Wayne Boring and Curt Swan were, by turns, the definitive Superman artists of the midcentury. This splendid page confronts Superboy with a similarly powerful teenager who leads a Superboy-like existence on a distant planet, in the story "the Mystery of Mighty Boy". Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 18", framed out to 16.25" x 22". Clean as a whistle, barring a lightly toned paste-over art correction (Panel 2). Excellent condition.
