Description
Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-9-17 (American-Journal Examiner, 1917). An absolutely hysterical Sunday in which Buster Brown is (surprisingly) not the biggest pain in the rear! The title "Not Yet - BUTT - Soon" gets to the seat of the problem. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 23". As was the process of the time, each character and setting was watercolored in its first appearance as a color guide for the printer for the rest of the strip.
