Description
Pep Comics #25 (MLJ, 1942) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Off-white to white pages. This very early Archie story (more than half a year before Archie Comics #1) has the first appearance of Archie's jalopy. It's been seven years since we last offered this book in a grade above Poor. Our consignor Rick Sloane tells us, "When Michael Uslan published the Best of Archie in 1979, he had to borrow my copy, since no other collector had one." The cover, featuring the Shield and the Hangman, is by Irv Novick. CGC notes, "Minor amount of glue on spine of cover." Overstreet 2012 VG 4.0 value = $594; FN 6.0 value = $891.
