Description

Jim Sasseville Peanuts Characters Illustration Group Original Art (c. 1950s). Charles Schulz used no assistants for his newspaper strip work, but for side projects like comic books, he relied on one of his Art Instruction School colleagues, Jim Sasseville. Jim probably made these head shots as studies, and he has Schulz's style down pat; in fact, so close that it took the Schulz Museum to confirm these were not by Sparky. The set includes all the late-'50s regulars -- Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Violet, and Patty. Each character is shown in front and profile views, in ink on board with an image area of roughly 7" x 4", and each piece has been matted and framed with Plexiglas to an overall size of 14.25" x 11.5". All six are in Excellent condition.
