Little Big Books Vintage Hardcover Children's Books Set with Case (McLoughlin Bros., 1928). A vintage set of 12 first-edition children's hardcover books accompanied by their original ornate storage case. Included are: Little Stories for Little People, Little Rhymes for Little Folk, Pleasant Stories for Tiny Folk, Tiny Tales for Tiny Folk, That Provoking Puppy, The House That Danny Built, Fairy Stories for Tiny Folk, Animal Stories for Tiny Folk, Nature Stories for Tiny Folk, Happy Stories for Tiny Folk, Wonder Stories for Tiny Folk, and Sunny Stories for Tiny Folk. The books present very nicely and are in Good to Very Good condition, with some instances of loose binding / binding separation, light shelf wear, and supple pages ranging from off-white to light tan. The case is made from thick, sturdy cardboard and is in Fair to Good condition; it presents well, with mild warping to the doors, tanning, moderate edge and corner wear, and rusted staples; however, the doors appear to have separated from the box and later reattached with tape.Auction Info
