Description

William Stout Cocaine Comix #1 Cover Original Art (Last Gasp, 1975). George DiCaprio, father to actor Leonardo, put together this pure-seventies comic book, back in the days when it was "alright" to use cocaine on a recreational basis -- of course, it never really was, as most users like "Wildroot" on this cover realized. In fact, the dangers of this narcotic were well-known and noted here -- added to the title was R.I.P.-Snortin' (and we know that R.I.P. didn't stand for "Really Intense Pleasure"). Great art, nonetheless, from the supremely talented Bill Stout, drawn in ink over graphite with Zipatone shading film on Bristol board. The image area measures approximately 11.5" x 16". In Very Good condition with minor handling wear and two small stains in the upper left, one within the image.
