Description
New Comics #1 Bound Volume (DC, 1935) The first issue of DC's second comic series, which eventually became Adventure Comics. Vin Sullivan humor cover. Sheldon Mayer, Walt Kelly, Whitney Ellsworth, and Art Stahl art. This issue is rated a "7" ("scarce") on the Photo-Journal Guide to Comic Books' Scarcity Index. This copy is unusual in that the cover is completely split, pages are detached, and each of those has been individually laminated and then spiral bound together into one volume. Some discoloration to the laminate; the pages appear to range from white to cream. Technically its grade is Poor, but all the pages are here!
