Description
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "Invasion of the Turtle Snatchers" Master Splinter Production Cel (Murakami-Wolf-Swenson, 1989). "Donatello? With Aliens!? This sounds serious..." The Turtle's adept Ninjitsu teacher, Master Splinter, puts on a worried look in this expressive original production cel. He's rightfully concerned about the technical mischief Donny is likely to get in to with an interstellar encounter! Originally aired over 35 years ago on 10/19/1989 as Episode 19 of Season 3, this episode sees six-armed aliens abduct not only Donatello but also Rocksteady. The astute Master Splinter was voiced by Peter Renaday (1935-2024) who worked on other notable animated shows and feature films such as Walt Disney's Mulan (1998), Gargoyles (1994), and The Pirates of the Dark Waters (1991). The cel image can be seen at the 4:57 timestamp when Splinter hears about the news of his missing adopted son, Donatello. This image of Splinter is a great close-up of the character that measures approximately 8" x 6.5" on a 12 field acetone sheet. Master Splinter's cel also features production codes along the lower edge by the sheets peg holes and is presented on a print of the Turtle's hideout. The overall condition is Very Good with light handling wear and edge wear, minor faded linework.Auction Info
