Description

Joe Kubert The Brave and the Bold #44 Hawkman Story Page 6 Original Art (DC, 1962). Often associated with the Hawks, Kubert features both characters in an impossibly difficult crime-stopping chase, in this issue set during their alien holiday "Impossible Day". With "ultra-sonic swiftness", Hawkman and Hawkgirl hurtle rocks equipped with "petrified lightning" in their attempt to stop a speeding criminal driving away under an invisible forcefield. Each panel features dynamic shots of the Winged Wonders in flight, with their swift speed seen from every angle. Created in twice-up scale in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19" (including the stat page heading). Production marks, whiteout, light toning, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
