Description
Animaniacs "Battle for the Planet" Pinky and the Brain Production Cel Signed by Tom Ruegger (Warner Brothers, 1993). "We're not making this up just so we can rule the world." Brain plots an elaborate hoax with Pinky in this original hand-painted production cel from a world dominating segment of Animaniacs, signed by series creator Tom Ruegger. Tom is best known for his pivotal role in making the Animaniacs, and the Pinky and the Brain spin off show. He also contributed animation and writing to Hanna-Barbera and Filmation studios, until gaining his production role at Warner Brothers Animation in 1989 leading to a decade-long creative collaboration with Steven Spielberg. Based on the production codes at the bottom of the cel setup "AM 616" this artwork was produced for the Animaniacs segment "Battle for the Planet" which released with Episode 15 on October 1, 1993. From an undiscerned moment, possibly cut during production. The hand-painted image of the 2-layer 12 field cel setup measures about 3" x 3.5" for Brain and 3.5" x 5.25" for Pinky, presented on a print background for display purposes. The cel features a WB seal in the top left corner and Tom's signature near the bottom right. Also included is a Clampett Studio COA. In Very Good condition with light handing wear.Auction Info
