Description
Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge [NFR] Wata 7.0 CIB SNES Nintendo 1995 USA. Even loose cartridges of this competition cartridge are highly coveted by collectors, and complete in box copies are the cream of the crop. This game was created to be used in the Nintendo PowerFest '94 competition and was later featured in the Blockbuster World Video Game Championships II. Since it was made for an event, the game was never "factory sealed" and bears the "Not For Resale" verbiage on the cartridge. After all of the competitions came to a close, the 2,500 cartridges produced for the events were gathered up and sold through a Nintendo Power catalog exclusive to subscribers. Each of the cartridges that they sold was paired with one of these nifty green clamshell boxes. However, a lot of these clamshell boxes have reportedly been lost to time, making this a special piece indeed!More Information: EDIT: Typo corrected.
