Description
Peter Pan George Darling Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1953). "Shadow? Whose shadow?" "Peter Pan's." "Oh, Peter Pan..." From Disney's iconic animated classic Peter Pan, this lot features a distinguished animation drawing showing a rare image of Wendy, Michael, and John's father, George Darling. This character is voiced by the great Hans Conried (1917 - 1982), who also voiced Captain Hook, following the tradition of the original play by J.M. Barrie of having those roles performed by the same actor. Seen at about the 10:02 timestamp taking Mrs. Darling's arm as the Darling parents lock-up and leave for a party. Rendered in graphite and red colored pencil, George measures a full figure image size of 3" x 6" on the 16-field 3-peghole animation sheet. Noted A91 at the bottom right corner. The drawing shows light age-related toning, mild handling, and edge wear with a frayed edge at the bottom of the sheet including a few rips and tears from the middle peghole to the bottom right edge. In Very Good condition for this hard-to-find character.Auction Info
