Space Invaders [Blue Box, Early Production] Wata 9.4 NS Atari 2600 Atari 1980 USA. It is important to note that with a lot of early Atari games there was never a plastic seal, and the box lid was glued shut instead. As such, these early boxes were quite susceptible to wear since there was never any plastic to protect them from scuffs and general wear. Seeing one that has made it this far unscathed is quite a feat. This copy is from one of the earliest production runs of the title for the Atari 2600, indicated by the blue box which was later changed to red. Space Invaders is one of those games that immediately comes to mind as soon as "arcade," or "video game" is even whispered. We're excited to be able to offer this beautiful, high-grade, early copy in the very first auction that we are offering Atari video games in.Auction Info
