Description

Bernie Wrightson Bernie Wrightson: A Look Back Star-Lord Illustration Original Art (Marvel/Land of Enchantment, 1976-79). Star-Lord was tearing it up on the silver screen in the recent Guardians of the Galaxy hit film! He first appeared in Marvel Preview #4, a black and white magazine with a rotating feature. The issue was all Star-Lord, and it even had a very similar Bernie Wrightson one-page frontispiece. This illustration appears to be an unpublished alternative frontispiece for that book. It was published three years later in this collection of Wrightson's work. Signed in the lower right corner. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 13" x 19", framed with a Plexiglas front. Slight tanning. In Excellent condition.
