Description

Moebius (Jean Giraud) Les Humanoïdes Associés Logo Original Art (1974). Artists Jean Giraud, Jean-Pierre Dionnet, Philippe Druillet, and Bernard Farkas banded together to form the art collective Les Humanoïdes Associés in December, 1974, with the intention of launching a new science-fiction comics magazine in France, Métal Hurlant (which translates to "Screaming Metal"). The magazine revolutionized the European comics scene and spawned an American version, Heavy Metal, in 1976. This is the original logo used by the new publishing house, with artwork by Giraud (aka Moebius). It's in ink on Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 4.25" x 6", loosely mounted to a backing board. This historical piece has a couple of minor stains, but is otherwise in Excellent condition.
