Description

Robert Crumb Kafka For Beginners (R. Crumb's Kafka) Pages 94-95 Original Art (Totem Books, 1993). The conclusion of Kafka's novel, The Trial, has main character K. stabbed to death, with "...like a dog" as his last words. That memorable sequence is spotlighted in these two pages, fully illustrated and hand-lettered by Robert Crumb for David Zane Mairowitz's book. The art is in ink and graphite on blue-lined Bristol board, with a combined approximate image area of 13.25" x 9.5". The pages are matted and framed together with Plexiglas for an overall size of 23.75" x 19.5"; the art is in Excellent condition.
