Description
Bob Powell Bob Powell's Timeless Tales #1 Complete 8-page Story "Gotta Match?" Original Art (Harvey/Eclipse/c. 1940s/1989). Originally slated for Harvey's Bruce Gentry #1 or Black Cat #9 (according to production notes on the pages), this yarn finally saw print many years later in Eclipse Comics' Bob Powell's Timeless Tales. Powell uncorks his wildest use of perspective and points of view for this WWII yarn inspired by the movie Casablanca -- it even has a Peter Lorre-like character. The blue ink washes, originally used to indicate color effects to the production staff, add a mood and sense of space to these thrilling pages.
