Jumbo Comics #69 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) Pedigree (Fiction House, 1944) CGC VF/NM 9.0 Off-white pages. An amazing copy tied for the top spot on CGC's census, outscoring even The Promise Collection copy. The credits are a murderer's row of Fiction House icons: Joe Doolin's notorious cover features Sheena stalking slave traders, and story artists include Matt Baker (his first published art), Robert Webb, and Alex Blum. We haven't seen a copy with a grade this high since 2007, and we have yet to encounter a nicer one. Overstreet 2024 VF/NM 9.0 value = $395; NM- 9.2 value = $550.
