Description
Alex Raymond Flash Gordon Original Art dated 10-27-35 (King Features Syndicate, 1935). A fantastic Sunday that features great panels of all four of the major characters! Ming the Merciless is in Panel 2, Flash is on horseback in Panel 3, and standing with Dr. Zarkov in Panel 4, and Dale gets a great horseback image in Panel 5. This is from the story arc "At War With Ming!". The series was not even two years old at this point. A large piece, it was created in ink over graphite on bright white Bristol board with an image area of 25.5" x 20.5". Signed and personalized "To Ed Mitchell" in the lower left corner. It is handsomely matted and Plexiglas front framed to 33" x 29". There is a small rip in the lower part of Panel 3; however, it is barely noticeable.
