Rocko's Modern Life Rocko and Heffer Production Cel Setup with Master Background (Nickelodeon, c. 1992-96). Rocko and Heffer take a pleasant drive down a neighborhood road in this delightful hand-painted production cel setup. From an undetermined episode of the original Nicktoon Rocko's Modern Life paired with a Master background. The show follows Rocko the easily frightened Australian immigrant wallaby and his best friend the excitable steer Heffer Wolfe. Presented on separate layers of the setup, Heffer watches the road with a concerned expression, and Rocko was rendered with the addition of the car interior. Hand-painted on 12 field sheets Rocko measures approximately 4.5" x 4.5" with Heffer at 6.5" x 6". The accompanying 12 field 2-layered Master background has been hand-painted nearly edge-to-edge. All production pieces of the cel setup feature production codes which can be found along the peg hole edges. With the empty road available between the layers this piece could be set up with other production cels to make it seem like the goofy duo are running someone or something over to create hilarious displays. The setup has typical production handling wear, edge wear, mild linework fading, minor surface debris, adhesion between the two layers of the background cels, and two stapples on the top edge of the background layers.
