Description
Nick Cardy Brave and the Bold #97 Batman and Wildcat Cover Original Art (DC, 1971). In the pre-Crisis DC Universe, the appearances of Wildcat in Brave and the Bold (this was the second) blurred the lines between Earth-1 and Earth-2. It seems there was a Golden Age (or at least 1950s) Wildcat on Earth-1, but he seems to quickly be forgotten about in the coming years. This cover was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The masthead, logos, cover text, and lower Deadman caption are stat paste-ups. The piece is matted and glass-front framed to 14" x 19.5". Toned and in Excellent condition. Comes with a copy of the printed comic.From the Estate of Kevin Brogan.
